Tim,
Thank you so much for posting this. It is something that needs saying. As you know, I have pushed back on Facebook for just this kind of stuff. However, I think you have articulated it much better than I could. And I appreciate how you broke it down, make it accessible.

Also, I love the point that anger is stronger than shame... and that the first reaction to guilt is defensiveness. I'm with you and hope that we will see less and less of this sort of manipulation.

Those Doritos ad campaign FOR their ads has worked out pretty well for them.
The ad that won a couple years back (a bloodhound offers Doritos to a man in exchange for silence) was submitted by a fellow alum of my school, James Madison Univ.
And this year, 'Crumbs', though it did not qualify as one of the five finalists, was submitted by my brother. Glad you enjoyed it. Chips for all!!

Tim, I appreciate your presentation with Rodney Ballance. My studies were originally with the Hyprocatic version of personalities so I can really identify where you are coming from.

I am surprised at the nature of the Humanity Evolved to Fight article. I believe that the Bible is correct in that we are only 6000 years old as a people and earth. That kinda shoots down all the 'evolve' issues, dosen't it?

If Jesus is the creator, I kinda like to believe He created us perfectly the first time! Heck, anyone that can 'speak' us into creation can do it right the first time. Besides, 6,000 years isn't enough time to evolve.

I believe that the evolutionists are evading their accountability to God by denying His existance or using Satan's trick of casting doubt at the Word of God.

Thanks for your input and knowledge, Doug

Tim,

I truly appreciate the way that you tied the 2012 Olympics into sales. Great job. Like you, I'm more of the "Logisitical" personality type...but I do respect and admire the ability of the "Warriors".

Yours In Health!

Great examples you chose here from the Gold Rush TV show. I really like how you pointed out that fear and other emotions are strong triggers to for people and to pay careful attention to them.

I've been persuaded to see your "mind reading and persuasive talent" in a whole new light. Thank you for visiting my article on "How to Spot Difficult People and What to Do about Them" and leaving a comment. Otherwise, I might not have found my way as quickly to your blog on connection and to your Personality Marketing Manual.

Thank you,
and have an influential day,

Excellent post Tim!
I'm not sure where I fit in the personality profile mix. I believe I can plan and control much of what happens to me but I cannot control the weather, for example.
You make a good point of how to use their belief of people wanting them to fail...to motivate and persuade them. Very useful insight!
